Piranha

One of Canada’s oldest literary magazines picked up my story “Piranha” for its fall 2021 publication. The story follows Sheila, a middle-aged “everywoman” who reflects on the time she gave herself a stick and poke Piranha tattoo back in high school. Was it the right totem to represent her? After a head injury at the gym, the Piranha lets her know how to find her way to the truth of it.
